Our Mission Statement

The mission of GFF is to present the gospel of God’s grace in a relevant way to a diverse community so that individuals and families can find peace and hope, share in the fellowship of God’s family and then become equipped to invite others to become part of the family.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a vibrant evangelical Christian church which brings glory to God by becoming a center for Christian renewal in the lives of individuals and families in a diverse, urban community.

We are committed to:

• Providing Worship: An inspiring, uplifting, dynamic experience of God’s presence through the Word, Music, Sacrament and Fellowship
• Providing Welcome: An open invitation to all to meet Jesus in a personal way no matter where they are in life
• Providing Empowerment: Enabling individual and families to discover the power a faith that is active, relevant and life changing
• Fostering Growth: increasing each individual’s influence and joy in Christ through prayer, Bible study and active service in the community of Christ

  We will offer a Multidimensional Ministry built on the following:

• An emphasis on Biblical preaching and teaching
• An emphasis on life transformation through Christ, focusing on God’s love and grace, regardless of race, gender, age, class and experience
• Student/people (need) centered Bible studies
• Christian fellowship through prayer, small groups and social interaction
• Biblically oriented psychological counseling in all areas of life, including abuse, and substance use
• A commitment to the relation on prayer for direction, conception, planning and execution of the ministries and activities of the church
• An every-member-a-minister approach, where all aided in discovering and using their spiritual gifts in the building of the body of Christ
• Being directed by the Holy Spirit evidencing creativity and innovation, leading to effectiveness in ministry
• A variety of ministries with high standard of excellence, catering to all the various groups in the church
  
• Emphasis on an alignment of “faith” and “action”, maximizing growth, without compromising doctrine or Biblical truth
